April 24.2002:  Catching up, Dan Fiorella..

It's been a little hectic around the household with graduation only three weeks away, a new job, every school related-procrastinated project coming to light and planning a move to New Hampshire at the same time.  The IRC chat with David Rosler went really well.  David spent 2 1/2 hours weathering our questions and taxing his memory concerning the show.  It was a very insightful evening in terms of learning a bit about the behind the scenes area and the people involved.

Coming very soon will be:

Dan rolls out the "Bring your daughter to work day" or as he'd like to call it "Scare 'em Straight" article in honor of our BYDTWD.  Check that article, printed in the NY Post and a couple of others over at Dan's growing new webpage:  http://hometown.aol.com/daf118/articles1.html

April 12.2002:  irc chat with David Rosler

As mentioned, we'll be hosting David Rosler in an IRC chat this Sunday night (April 14th). Check out the IRC page if you need directions and please read the etiquette section.  The channel will be moderated.  Grab a snack, bring your questions (Don't dig for DVD info, David isn't a part of that loop) and join the chat.

April 7.2002:  David Rosler surfaces!

We've been visited by yet another GR staff alumnus and this time it's David Rosler.  David worked on the project as a storyboard artist and a character designer (see credits). Fatima was contacted by David this past week after he stumbled across the website and he relayed his amazement of the following the show still has after all these years.

David also expressed his interest in participating in an IRC chat session with the fans.  We're working out the details currently, but the tentative stats are:

IRC chat w/ David Rosler
Sunday, April 14, 2002
7:00 PM E.S.D.

Of course, we'll keep you posted as details change.  (Thanks Fatima, David).

March 26.2002:  Scans, scans and more scans

A few very notable scans are out on the web this month.

March 12.2002:  Possible IRC server change

From the mailing list, the #galaxyrangers IRC chat channel may be switching servers to irc.ShadowFire.org temporarily.  "The channel rules are roughly the same, and everyone is welcome. To register a nickname, the command is still /msg nickserv register password. ( The server homepage can be found at www.shadowfire.org  )" If you need instructions, please check them out here.  I'll update the IRC info page if this becomes a permanent stay.  Thanks Kat.

March 10.2002:  Forum & Getting going again, DVD, Dan Fiorella, RangerCon 4 pics

Been offline for a bit while re-assembling my computer.  Spiking electrical currents took out a few of the more important components and resulted in my buying of a line conditioner for everything.  Surge protectors aren't the answer for everything.  My modem is still shot and thanks to some nice free programs over at www.AnalogX.com done by Mark (also a fan of GR), I'm doing this update via proxy thru my old P166.

In the next two weeks I hope to get the forum up and running here under the main site.  I'm trying to relocate the old one by transferring the files, which will hopefully mean not having to have everyone re-subscribe.  Fingers are crossed in that area.

Ok, some new news.  Had the pleasure of a brief contact with Mr. Mandell last week and he mentioned that it "looks like things are finally working out" in regards to a DVD box set release.  Brief words, I know, but better than the project being dead in the water.

Dan Fiorella's latest opus, The Frugal Fanatic, made an appearance in his hometown's paper.  Check it out on Dan's new webpage at http://hometown.aol.com/daf118/myhomepage/profile.html, about midway down the page.

Lady Niko sent along a link to some pictures taken during last year's RangerCon4 outing.  I have no descriptions to go with it, but the link is here: http://bbert.at.rangercon4.20m.com/photos/ulthm.htm.  Maybe someday they'll have a RCON somewhere up in the north east :)
