08-23-01 (New server and finally, an update)
Finally, an official update! After replacing my power supply, processor and finding out that my secondary hard drive was dead, everything seems to have leveled off. Once again, we're on a new server, working out the kinks and having a little fun at it. Enough babbling, I'm off to finish getting things aligned. - R.B.
Good News/Bad News
MORE BAD NEWS (8/16), not only did I fry the power supply, the processor went with it, which I found out after installing a new power supply. I ordered a new chip, only to find out that it was out of stock (I love online stores that keep their database current). Anyhow, I ordered one over the phone to verify that this place did indeed have it in stock and it should be here Monday. then we'll see how much more damage has been done.
MORE GOOD NEWS, Well, if you're reading this, than you may have noticed the lack of pop-ups and rightfully so, as we're on a new server. Thanks to Chitaz for hosting us once again (some may recall that we were on Chit's server awhile ago, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we moved camp while Chit go setup again with his own hosting service. So, once again, we're home and our hats are off to Chit for his help in setting us up again.
As an aside, I'm doing this update on my old P166 and using 'Putty' to login by SSH. While I've only used a couple SSH programs this past week, this one takes the cake as freeware. Be sure to check out Putty if you happen to need a decent free client. It appears to do an excellent job interpreting html code while in VI editor and seperates html tags with various colors. Yeah, I like it.
THE BAD NEWS(8/6), I fried my power supply in the main computer ('Mutha') this morning, not something to do on a Friday by any means. Living in Maine rears its ugly head as I realize I may just have to mail-order a replacement due to a shortage in 400W power supplies up here. I'll be checking my email online, but responses will probably wait until 'Mutha' is back and online.
THE GOOD NEWS, sometime in the next month we'll be moving to a new host (details and shameless plugging will follow). What does this mean for you? NO MORE POP-UP BANNER ADS! More to follow - R.B.
07-30-01 (Heartbeat, Fan art, GR comic books, links, Happy Birthday to Jayce....)
Lady Niko took a great initiative step and set up a Pay-Pal account for donations. We're looking into finding a home with no banners soon and the donations will be used to foot the bill that way. I'll post more later about the Pay-Pal once I figure out whether or not I can do that here (I believe I read that we're not allowed to post any money making links while we're hosted under the basic service at www.virtualave.net, but I will investigate). Email Lady Niko at LadyNiko@hotmail.com for more info.
Ok, as annoying as this icon may be, it gets your attention. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Jayce (you can hate your ICQ info for this one Jayce ;-P ). Many more!
Check out the newest Episode Guide entry for Heartbeat.
Bruinhilda sent along some pics of the Galaxy Ranger comic book covers over at www.milehighcomics.com. Check the out issues 7, 8 and 9 here.
Fan art springs up again!
AKK brings us a proposal rendition of Goose's grandfather, Jon Hays. You can see that and more at her site.

Other things to check out:
Master Kaymo pointed out this rather interesting article as some forethought on the future of political/social order as it might pertain to a 'GR' world. Read GM researchers created virus 'as dangerous as TB' over at http://www.independent.co.uk/
Found small mention of GR over at X-entertainment.com. See http://www.x-entertainment.com/newxe/galaxy.html.
